New Life from Ruins
New Life from Ruins is the title track from our CD, New Life from Ruins.
Shakuhachi: Robert A. Jonas
Voice: Jacynth Hamill & Heather Innes
Lyrics written by Robert from template of ancient Celtic Christian prayers.
Melody adapted from Kojo No Tsuki, "Moonlit castle ruins", composed by Rentaro Taki [1879- 1903] in 1901. Mr. Taki's melody was inspired by the ruins of Okajyo Castle built in 1185.
Here am I on bended knee
You have brought me low
Here am I on bended knee
My joy and my sorrow
In your heart, Creator God
In the heart of Jesus
In the heart of Spirit
Your Love, the Ground that lifts us.
Through your Dazzling Darkness
Lend to us the radiance
Of thine own eternal life
Beneath our self-reliance
As we wander in the dark
Searching for your hand
Guide us in your faithful way
And call each one by name
Love of God
Smile of God
Truth of God
Grace of God
Blessed of God
Strength of God
Here am I on bended knee
You have made me whole
Here am I on bended knee
Your Love the Ground that lifts us
Your Love the Ground that lifts us
Love the Ground that lifts us.
